Steponwards Philosophy
Steponwards is an educational platform, founded and led by Dr Kalpesh Shah, designed to transfer foot and ankle surgical training globally.
Steponwards was founded on a simple belief: progress in foot and ankle surgery happens when knowledge is shared.
Through his work as a full-time practising surgeon in Glasgow (U.K) and as a mentor to surgeons around the world, Dr. Kalpesh Shah repeatedly saw the same challenge - dedicated and skilled surgeons who were limited not by ability or commitment, but by access to ongoing, specialist training & education.
During years of training and humanitarian work abroad, it became clear that lasting impact does not come from isolated interventions. It comes from explaining the why behind the how, teaching the right approach, and building confidence that endures long after a single visit or operation.
"All that is not given is lost"
Guided by the principle that the more we share the more we have, Steponwards exists to support that kind of lasting progress—by educating, mentoring, and collaborating with surgeons so they can deliver high-quality care within their own communities.
